THE WAY ASAP WORKS

ASAP stands for Assist Schools Arts Programs.

But it also stands for As Simple As Possible. The basic idea is to create a concert format as foolproof as possible, efficient and profitable. The watchword is small. The chances of economic success with a small concert are significantly enhanced by the reduced need to publicize, promote, rent a large hall and sophisticated sound and lights.

This is a community event.

First and foremost this is a concert for the immediate school or organization community. Patrons don't head down town but stay in their community using a local hall preferably in their own school which they don't have to pay for and most importantly, is a familiar intimate setting.

The nuts and bolts.

Eric will give a one hour performance in your school or other local venue to an audience of 200-450. The ticket price is usually $10-12 (not less). Thirty percent of the revenue goes to you, the presenting organization. Eric brings the sound system. You provide the hall, the lighting, refreshments, and a few hands to set up equipment.

You publicize the event and sell the tickets. Eric's office will supply posters and be available to work as closely with the presenter as necessary to ensure success. Often, the members of your organization alone can ensure the 200 minimum tickets sales necessary.
