| Introduction to Intimacy is an experiential workshop, comprised
of exercises and group sharing rather
than lecture, in which participants explore ways of
increasing intimacy in their lives. The tools offered
can be taken to the family, workplace, and to casual
relationships as well as partnerships. Guided by the
facilitators (Eric often works with partners),
participants create a safe, trusting
environment which acts as a laboratory for exploration into
intimacy.
Issues explored:
 | Safety: How can we create safety around us so
that we can be ourselves, where our vulnerability will
be honoured? |
 | Choice: How often do we relinquish our choice
and do "what is expected of us?" The
workshop helps us examine our relationship to choice,
how we can increase our awareness of choice, and expand
our choices in our day-to-day lives. |
 | Communication: The workshop exercises look at
focus, active listening, responding without fixing,
sharing time. |
 | Intimacy: What is love? What is Intimacy?
What are we saying when we hug? What is the person
saying who is hugging us? How can we make a space of
safety for people to express themselves? |
The workshop may be as short as two hours, or expanded to
a day-long, with additional processes to explore in greater
depth. If you wish to learn more about this workshop,
or host one, please contact Eric.
